The Truth About Natural Talent

I often hear things like 'You either get it or you don't', or 'You either have a talent or you don't." I'm here to tell you that neither of those statements is true.

And those trying to put a cap on your potential, saying you either get it or you don't. Well, that's them saying you can only learn up to a certain level and then basically that's the height of your knowledge, that people with natural talent are the only ones that will ever "really get it".
This really upsets me. The truth is it is very rare for a human to have natural talent. That has nothing to do with the level of success someone reaches. Hard work and tenacity is what creates a success story.

YOU CAN DO ANYTHING. YOU CAN REACH ANY LEVEL YOU DESIRE TO REACH. Yes, some people get it instantly. You may not. That doesn't mean give up & walk away from your dreams. It means work a little harder until you get there too!

If you're looking into education, really do your research. Look at the educator's resume and/or portfolio. Is their achievements what you desire for yourself one day? For example, if they specialize in television marketing and you want to do online content, are they really the right person for you to learn from (and visa versa). Read testimonials but don't just look at people saying "its great" and other fluff words; look for substance. Why is it great? What have they been able to accomplish since taking the Workshop?

When you invest in yourself with getting a quality education and follow this with hard work, then you can do ANYTHING. But the secret is finding the QUALITY educators. You must do your research. Some people are in it for the money, and some are in it to truly help you and will do everything they can to help you succeed.  You want to be the next Elon Musk? Oprah?  You can. Set a goal and make it happen. Don't ever let someone tell you that you need a natural talent to succeed. You don't. I promise. You just need perseverance, quality mentors/educators and a passion to continue to try until you find your way.

Much love & success,
Jen xo
